When movement happens
Motion sensing pushes notifications to your phone. Draw custom activity zones so warnings center on doorways, cribs, or other spots you define—not the whole frame. A combined sound and light alarm can startle intruders with audible and visual cues.
Talk back and stay private
Built-in microphone and speaker support two-way conversations from the Tapo app. Privacy mode, together with optional local recording, lets you decide when the lens is active and where clips are kept.
Reviewing footage and saving clips
Pick a camera and jump to recordings by calendar date for quick playback. Continuous video can write to a microSD card up to 128 GB (card not included)—about 384 hours or 16 days under laboratory conditions. Tapo Care adds 30-day cloud retention, manual clip capture, sharing, and automatic saves whenever motion trips the sensor.
Getting started
Installation follows a short three-step flow, with day-to-day control handled entirely in the Tapo app.
