Device negotiation
USB-C Power Delivery (PD) and Programmable Power Supply (PPS) let supported phones, tablets, and many USB-C laptops draw appropriate power within the 45W ceiling.
On recent Samsung Galaxy handsets, Super Fast Charging 2.0 is supported so compatible models can reach about 50% charge in under 30 minutes with a suitable cable and device.
Temperature monitoring
ActiveShield 3.0 tracks charger temperature—described as more than 6 million measurements per day—to help limit overheating during demanding charge sessions.
