BY-V4 records from as many as four microphones at the same time. Units pair automatically for plug-and-play operation without a lengthy pairing ritual.

Transmitters and noise handling

Each TX clips on with a rotating mount and carries an omnidirectional built-in capsule for 360° pickup. Dual noise treatment pairs BOYA Audio one-click noise cancellation with a windshield so dialogue stays intelligible in loud surroundings. Recording quality is 48 kHz, 16-bit with 80 dB SNR; 120 dB SPL headroom helps limit distortion and clipping on loud sources.

Transmission uses 2.4 GHz digital wireless with up to 200 m range in open space. The portable charging case supplies up to 18 hours of battery life on UC/DI variants and up to 12 hours on the RX3.5 variant.
