Description
Wired Gigabit Ethernet through PCI Express
UGREEN model 30771 adds a 10/100/1000 Mbps Ethernet port to compatible Windows desktops, workstations, and servers via PCI Express. Use it for primary wired networking, spare ports for redundancy or bridging, or to give Ethernet to older PCs that lack a built-in jack.
Where it fits
- PCI Express Gigabit Ethernet on motherboards, notebooks, or embedded platforms where a PCIe NIC applies
- Secondary Ethernet on workstations or servers
- Network access on legacy systems without onboard Ethernet
Slot, speed, and standards
Installs in PCI Express x1, x2, x4, x8, or x16 sockets—PCI Express only; not for legacy PCI slots. IEEE 802.3, IEEE 802.3u, and IEEE 802.3ab compliant with 802.1Q VLAN tagging. Link rates auto-negotiate up to 1000 Mbps per direction (2000 Mbps aggregate full duplex), far above 10/100 links.
Controller and silicon capabilities
| PHY | Integrated 10/100/1000M transceiver |
| PCIe | 1.1; 1-Lane 2.5 Gbps bus |
| Link tuning | Auto-Negotiation with Next Page; crossover detection and auto-correction; pair swap, polarity, and skew correction |
| Efficiency | Power down, link down, PHY disable; EMAC-393 ECMA ProxZzzy for sleeping hosts; LTR and OBFF |
| Wake features | 16-set 128-byte wake-up frame exact matching; Microsoft WPD (Wake Packet Detection) |
| Additional | Embedded OTP memory; on-chip TX/RX buffers; PCI MSI and MSI-X; 25 MHz or 48 MHz oscillator |
Brackets and software
Ships with a standard profile bracket plus an extra 8 cm low-profile bracket for small form factor or HTPC cases. After installation, Device Manager may list Realtek PCIe Family Controller #2. Download and install the driver before use.
Windows support and limits
