Model 60738: digital HDMI source to analogue VGA display
Route video from HDMI-equipped gear to projectors, LCD panels, TVs, and monitors that only offer VGA when you want a larger screen from a laptop, notebook, or set-top box.
Where it fits
Works with PC, laptop, Ultrabook, Raspberry Pi, Chromebook, MacBook Pro, Intel Nuc, Roku streaming media player, Smart Android TV Box, and other HDMI hosts. Intended for HDCP-compatible sources only—not for HDCP-protected playback.
How the signal travels
- Built-in chipset: HDMI male (digital) out to VGA female (analogue) in
- Single direction: HDMI → VGA; cannot convert VGA back to HDMI
- VGA link supports up to 1080p on compatible monitors and projectors
- Maximum video timing: 1920 × 1080 at 60 Hz over VGA (video only on VGA)
- 3.5 mm audio port sends sound to a TV or external speaker when used with a separate 3.5 mm audio cable (not included)
Extra power input
A Micro USB cable is supplied for supplemental power, which helps low-output HDMI devices such as Mac Mini 2014, Raspberry Pi, and Smart Android TV Box. On Raspberry Pi, editing and restarting config.txt may be required.
