Bandwidth and legacy devices
Each port supports transfers up to 5Gbps — roughly ten times USB 2.0 hub speed at 480 Mbps — so HD films or bulky folders move quickly. USB 2.0, 1.1, and 1.0 peripherals still connect. A status LED shows when the hub is linked.
Reach and form factor
An integrated 3 ft cable routes the hub to rear or cramped USB sockets on a desktop while the body stays compact for everyday desk or bag use.

Windows 10, 8, 8.1, 7, Vista, and XP, Mac OS X, Linux, and Chrome OS recognize the hub without a driver package. Built-in over-voltage and over-current protection helps shield attached hardware and stored data.
