Description
Give your computer a headset jack without internal upgrades
Model 80864 is a bus-powered USB Type-A external sound card that exposes one 3.5 mm TRRS connector for combined headphone and microphone paths—ideal when you want speakers, a gaming headset, or a standalone mic on a desktop, laptop, or console that lacks a suitable analog port.
How it handles audio
An onboard C-Media integrated circuit drives playback and capture with noise reduction and high-resolution output rated up to 24-bit / 96 kHz, above the 16-bit / 48 kHz ceiling common on basic adapters.
Physical build
The housing uses an aluminum alloy shell for a small, travel-friendly footprint. Power comes from the USB port; no external adapter is needed.
Where it works
Compatible with USB Audio Class hosts such as Windows 11, 10, 8.1, 8, 7, Vista, and XP; Mac OS X; Linux; PlayStation 5 and 4; Google Chromebook; Windows Surface 3 Pro; and Raspberry Pi. Not supported on TV or in-car audio systems.
Drivers are not required—connect the cable and the host should recognize the device.
